Dr. JH Kim was born in Korea, in 1960 and he received his doctor degrees from the Department of Industrial Chemistry at the Faculty of Engineering, Hanyang University, in 1987. He joined to SK Chemicals, one of the leaders of Chemical companies in Korea. He commercialized hollow fiber membranes first in Korea. He took charge of the leader of marketing, production and R&D for membrane business in SK. He was awarded for his services on membrane technology development from government. He has also acted as the director of the Membrane Society of Korea for 10 years. Dr. JH Kim received the IR52 Award of Korea Industrial Technology Association. He took a role of active member of Korea-China membrane technology cooperation association.

Dr. JH Kim had worked for KROSYS who is the leader of seawater desalination technology during 2 years. In 2002, he established PHILOS with 20 years experiences for membrane & filtration, system design & engineering and business network.


Dr. JH Kim¡¯s research interest covers all aspects of Membrane technology and separation processes. In particular, the following subjects are successful results for commercialization by him and are currently being researched at his company:
